The copal of madagascar is part of the three hardest fossil copals (Zanzibar, Mozambique). These three resins are just below amber on the hardness scale of plant resins.
Unlike amber, the paint is little colored and is well suited when you do not want to alter the color of the underlying layers.
1 part of copal 1 part of linseed oil clarify to the sun 1,5 of rectified turpentine spirit and little drop of Cobalt-Zirconium-Manganese dryers .
